Fiat appears to have a 124 Abarth GT4 racer in the works and it looks angry. New video shows the race car lapping Monza in full camouflage, but there’s no hiding the fact it’s a raced-up 124 Abarth.
Unlike the regular 124 Abarth, the racer seen here packs all of the race car goodies to beef up the looks and create a rather menacing profile. The little race car sports flared wheel arches, wheel vents, a massive rear diffuser and a giant wing. There will be no mistaking the potential GT4 racer for another pedestrian 124 Abarth.
In fact, the profile nearly makes the Fiat look like a baby Dodge Viper in a few ways. And that’s fine by us knowing the snake has since been laid to rest, likely permanently.
As for power, Top Gear speculates in a Monday report that the 124 Abarth GT4 could borrow the Alfa Romeo 4C’s engine and produce around 400 horsepower. And in the video above, whatever resides under the hood sounds positively mad. It’s a typical sound we’ve come to know and love from Abarth cars. Check out more of the car up above.
