The Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid minivans are returning for 2019 with a few tweaks and new features, to continue setting a new standard in North America’s minivan market. The powertrains remain unchanged, both models continuing to offer 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque from a 3.6L Pentastar V6, with the Pacifica Hybrid boasting a bit of extra oomph from its electric drive motors and a 16-kWh battery pack. Look beyond the propulsion system, however, and you’ll find that both versions of the Chrysler Pacifica have received some modest upgrades.
For 2019, the Chrysler Pacifica will be available in six different trims, while the Pacifica Hybrid will offer three. Here’s how it breaks down:
- Touring Plus
- Touring L
- Touring L Plus
- Touring Plus
- Touring L
New for 2019 is a set of 17-inch polished wheels with painted Tech Grey pockets – standard on Touring L Plus and Hybrid Limited, and optional on Hybrid Touring Plus and Hybrid Touring L. A pair of new exterior paint colors – Luxury White and Maximum Steel – will be made available late in the model year, and there’s a new “S Appearance Package” coming to the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The package is chock-full of sharp, black aesthetic touches like 18-inch Black Noise wheels, Gloss Black exterior accents, and an all-black interior with Light Diesel Gray seat accents and “S” logos.
Beyond those visual upgrades, there’s a host of new equipment set to become standard or optional on models across the Pacifica lineup. The Pacifica LX, for instance, is gaining standard auto headlamps. The Touring Plus is picking up a standard auto-dim rearview mirror, while the Advanced SafetyTec Group, Uconnect Theater with Wireless Streaming, and Cold Weather Group will be made available as options. The Touring L will also gain a standard auto-dim rearview mirror, along with a standard heated steering wheel.
As for the Hybrid models, the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus offers a standard auto-dim rearview mirror, while the new 17-inch polished wheels will be optional. The Hybrid Touring L gains a standard heated steering wheel and auto-dim rearview mirror, along with a Premium Audio Group option. The Pacifica Hybrid Limited will get the new 17-inch wheels as standard, along with standard memory seats/mirrors/audio, power-folding mirrors, and Auto Advance n’ Return on both the drivers and passengers sides. All three Hybrid trims will offer the S Appearance Package.
The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid will be available later in 2018.
