Roadkill Nights is returning to Michigan’s Detroit area once again on Saturday, August 11th, bringing drag racing, thrill rides, dyno runs, and plenty more back to the Motor City. The event, which is orchestrated by David Freiburger, Mike Finnegan, and the rest of the guys at Roadkill, and sponsored by Dodge, will again be held at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan.
This year’s celebration of petrol and speed promises the return of the celebrity showdown between Freiburger and Finnegan, as well as celebrity guest appearances from Richard Rawlings (Fast N’ Loud), Bill Goldberg (pro wrestler), Matt D’Andria (CarCast, with Adam Carolla), Cristy Lee (All Girls Garage), and Steve Magnante (The Junkyard Crawl). Events will be emceed by Chris Jacobs of Velocity’s Overhaulin’, and Brian Lohnes of Put Up or Shut Up will emcee the drag races.
In addition to the stuff mentioned above, Roadkill Nights 2018 promises a show ‘n’ shine area, manufacturer midway, freestyle motocross shows, flame thrower exhibitions, and even some more kid-friendly activities like bouncy inflatables and face-painting. This year will mark the fourth for Roadkill Nights, and the event will again serve as a sort of precursor to Detroit’s renowned Woodward Dream Cruise, which is scheduled for August 18th. Compared to the Dream Cruise, Roadkill Nights tends to be a lot less “rolling motoring museum exhibit,” and a whole lot more “light up the drag strip.”
