In case you missed it, at the 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Playground Games confirmed a forthcoming fourth installment in its popular Forza Horizon video game series. Where previous titles took place in Colorado, Southern France/Northern Italy, and Australia, Forza Horizon 4 will be set in the United Kingdom, affording racing aficionados the opportunity to get their daily dose of adrenaline against the backdrop of Her Majesty’s country.
Since that announcement, a seemingly-complete list of playable cars has leaked online, as Playground Games accidentally began preloading game files with the names of the vehicles onto customers’ computers. A tweet from the Forza Motorsport Twitter account was issued promptly after the fact, telling users they were free to “safely uninstall the downloaded files” if they wished, but the damage was already done; the cat was out of the bag.
Of special relevance to fans of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles: Forza Horizon 4 will apparently offer no fewer than 45 vehicles from FCA brands, plus a whopping 32 Ferraris, for a total of 77 vehicles. (The full vehicle list contains more than 450 cars, trucks, and SUVs.) FCA’s Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Ram, and SRT brands will all be represented, as will the now-defunct Plymouth marque. Some of the highlights:
- 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
- 2007 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
- 2016 Dodge Viper ACR
- 1980 Fiat 124 Sport Spider
- 1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade
- 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale
- 2004 Maserati MC12
- 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda 426 HEMI
- 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
- Just about every freaking Ferrari you can think of, from the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, through to the 2015 Ferrari 488 GTB
Plenty more sexy, fast, desirable FCA machines will appear in Forza Horizon 4 when the game launches this October; for the full list of vehicles, visit Motor1.com.
