At Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach auction event later this month, Dodge Viper fans will have three immaculate examples of the race-inspired coupe to choose from, as a 2013 SRT Viper GTS, a 2016 Dodge Viper GTC, and a 2010 Hennessey Viper Venom 1000 Twin-Turbo Coupe are all set to cross the auction block with no reserve. It’s a rare thing to see three different incarnations of Dodge’s ultimate, V10-powered sportscar in one place, and given that the Dodge Viper was officially discontinued last year, it’s an opportunity that no fan should take for granted.
The 2010 Hennessey Viper Venom offered by Barrett-Jackson is one of just 24 built by Hennessey Performance Engineering, and it leverages its 8.6-liter V10 engine and a pair of turbochargers to put out 1,120 horsepower and 1,092 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough for a 2.7-second sprint to 60 mph and a 9.7-second quarter-mile at 152 mph. To handle the excess power, the connecting rods, pistons, and fuel system have all been upgraded, and this example has done a scant 442 miles from new.
If turbochargers aren’t your thing, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS set to cross the block still has its original, normally-aspirated 8.4-liter V10 under the hood, rated at a much-more-reasonable 640 horsepower with 600 lb-ft of torque. It’s done fewer than 3,000 miles in its garage-kept life, isoffered in a fetching hue called “Stryker Red”, and its “GTS” designation means that it has some nice, premium features like a more finely-appointed interior, an upgraded audio system, and a more accommodating, adjustable suspension.
Finally, the 2016 Dodge Viper GTC soon to cross the block is the most well-traveled of the bunch, having done 14,126 miles in its relatively short lift. Still very much a clean, pristine example, this 2016 Viper GTC is offered in “Viper White” with “Demonic Red” nappa leather, for a striking color combination. It also has the optional SRT Performance Package and the T/A 2.0 equipment group, which gives the car upgraded aerodynamic pieces, along with a superior suspension, and sportier wheels and brakes.
All three of these Vipers will be going up for auction with no reserve sometime between the 12th and the 15th. For more information, click here (2010 Hennessey Viper Venom), here (2013 SRT Viper GTS), or here (2016 Dodge Viper GTC).
