The V6-powered Dodge Durango GT has been given a new “Rallye Appearance Package”, with aggressive cues borrowed from the Durango R/T and SRT lending the Grand Cherokee-based mid-size crossover a more playful, sporty persona. The package includes a performance hood with an air scoop and two heat extractors; a performance front fascia; and LED fog lamps.
“Many of our customers love the performance look of the Durango R/T and Durango SRT, but are happy with the award-winning Pentastar V-6 engine’s 295 horsepower and the excellent fuel efficiency it delivers,” explains Dodge//SRT Head of Passenger Cars Steve Beahm. “This new Durango GT Rallye Appearance Package gives those three-row SUV buyers the best of both worlds.”
Sitting above the SXT and SXT Plus, the Dodge Durango GT is a mid-level version of the three-row Durango CUV, sharing its 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with those two models. Available with either rear- or all-wheel drive, the Durango GT is decidedly better-appointed than either of the SXTs, coming standard with 20-inch Hyper Black alloy wheels, polished dual exhaust tips, LED DRLs, leather-trimmed seats with suede inserts, heated first- and second-row seating, a power liftgate, and more. Assuming you can live with its “humble” 295-horsepower rating, it’s a great way to get a Durango loaded with premium equipment, for less.
The new Rallye Appearance Package for the 2018 Dodge Durango GT is yet another reason to consider the mid-tier model. The package is priced at $1,495, and is available in seven colors: Vice White, White Knuckle, Octane Red, Redline Red, DB Black, Granite, and In-Violet. Orders are open now.
