Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ storied Alfa Romeo brand is officially getting back into Formula One racing after a three-decade absence, hitching its wagon to the Sauber F1 Team’s horse starting with the 2018 season. Sauber’s rebranding as the “Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team” was part of a deal between the Swiss racing team and FCA that will see Ferrari continue to supply engines for Sauber’s F1 cars.
If, like us, you can’t wait to see Alfa Romeo back at it in the world’s premier motorsport competition series, we have good news: the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team has an event scheduled for Tuesday, February 20th at which the team’s new C37 race car will be presented, and fans are invited to watch the event live via web video streaming. The presentation will be webcast at this link next Tuesday, starting at 12:30 pm Central European Time (6:30 am Eastern Time, if you live in the Western Hemisphere). Those who can’t tune in for the live stream needn’t fret; on-demand replay will be available at the same link after the event.
If you’re itching to see the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s brand-new livery, that was already revealed last December at a special event in Milan. Click here for a photo of the Formula One car’s striking red-and-white scheme for 2018.
