Fans of RAM Trucks will want to take heed: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has launched an online configurator for the all-new, 2019 RAM 1500 light-duty pickup, sans pricing information. This means that you can start to plan out your ideal RAM 1500 Tradesman, Laramie, Rebel, or what have you, albeit without the benefit of knowing how much it will cost once production commences at FCA’s Warren Truck Assembly plant in Warren, Michigan.
The 2019 RAM 1500 will be available in six different trims: Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. FCA’s trusty, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 will come standard in the Tradesman, Big Horn, and Rebel models, paired with an eTorque mild-hybrid system, although all three models will offer the stout, 5.7-liter Hemi V8 as an option, with or without eTorque.
Those itching to lock down FCA’s efficient, torquey 3.0-liter EcoDiesel will have to wait; a reworked version of that mill won’t be available until after launch. Regardless of engine, the 2019 RAM 1500 will pack an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing for the all-new light-duty pickup from Fiat Chrysler’s truck brand should be available soon, and we don’t expect much of a bump between 2018 and 2019. For reference, the outgoing RAM 1500 ranges from $27,095 MSRP for a barebones Tradesman with no options, to just-over-$60k for a fully-loaded RAM Limited.
