As mankind has tamed nature, neutralized the threat of natural predators, and in many parts of the world, all but rid itself of food scarcity through the use of agriculture, it’s adopted some pretty strange pastimes to stave off the inevitable boredom.
Case-in-point: this video from The Fast Lane Car features a winch tug of war between a remote-controlled Land Rover Defender and a regular-size Jeep Wrangler. Both are fitted with Warn winches – the Wrangler with a real, full-size unit, and the R/C Land Rover with a 1/10th-scale licensed replica.
No doubt you already know which winch wins.
If this video is a tad light on actual, useful information, it manages to deliver in the entertainment and comedy departments. And at the very least, it also tips us off to the existence of a working scale replica of the Warn winch – the perfect accessory for any 1/10th-scale R/C Jeep Wrangler, such as this one from Axial Racing.
Be sure to watch The Fast Lane Car‘s video above for a look at how the 1/10th-scale Warn winch operates – and to see what is quite possibly the most one-sided tug of war ever devised.
