Last year was a big one for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The automaker unveiled the latest iteration of the Jeep Wrangler – the flagship product of its most profitable brand; launched the Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk; revealed the all-new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and SRT Hellcat Widebody; grew its partnership with Waymo; and rang in 80 years of the Mopar parts division. FCA invites us all to take a look back at each of these events, and more, in a 2017 video recap.
Of course, 2018 is the year in which we’ll find out whether Fiat Chrysler’s complete redesign of the iconic Jeep Wrangler meets the needs of America’s rugged off-roading enthusiasts. What’s more, the all-new, 2019 RAM 1500 full-size pickup truck – another all-important product for the automaker – will be revealed this month at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Nearly as important, 2018 will mark Alfa Romeo’s fourth full year in North America after re-entering the market with the 4C sportscar. Alfa Romeo is integral to FCA’s strategy in North America, with the Alfa Giorgio platform slated to underpin everything from the next Jeep Grand Cherokee to the 2019 Dodge Journey. Rumors also persist that the very same platform will support the next Charger and Challenger, although some reports claim those cars will instead ride on a Maserati platform.
In any event, you can relive some of FCA’s biggest moments from 2017 in the video above, and remember to stay tuned to FCAuthority.com as the automaker writes the next chapter in its saga.
