Yesterday, an online configurator for the all-new, 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL went live at Jeep.com, giving consumers the chance to build and price their ideal 4×4 off-roader – at least for a few hours, until Fiat Chrysler’s SUV brand pulled any and all links to it.
But thanks to the folks at JL Wrangler Forums, we have a “wormhole link” to the JL Wrangler’s shiny new configurator, allowing us to explore pricing and options to our hearts’ content. You can do the same by following this link here.
For now, the only engine that can be selected on the Jeep Wrangler JL configurator is the base 3.6L Pentastar V6, although eventually, buyers will have the added options of a turbocharged, 2.0L petrol I4 or a turbocharged, 3.0L EcoDiesel V6. Base pricing with the Pentastar ranges from $28,190 with destination for a barebones two-door Sport model, to $41,690 for a four-door Rubicon with no optional extras.
Fully loaded, a four-door JL Wrangler with a 3.6L V6 and all the fixin’s will run $57,310, although we don’t yet know how much opting for a different engine will tack onto that price. If the RAM 1500 is any indication, the 3.0L EcoDiesel could add another $3k or more.
