Despite the gorgeous creature that was the Pininfarina-designed Ferrari 458 Italia, when it came time to design a successor, Ferrari opted to do it in-house. The newer 488 GTB, introduced in 2015, is arguably no less pretty a thing, and it even won a Red Dot “Best of the Best” product design award shortly after it was introduced.
But some people can’t leave well enough alone.
Take, for instance, this Satin Lime Green Ferrari 488 GTB widebody. It’s the product of California-based body kit firm Misha Designs, and it adds three inches of width to each side of the car. The nose has been completely redone, now coming to a finer point and boasting massive, gaping air inlets, and the unique hood is vented to reduce lift. A glossy black front splitter and matching FXX K-style side skirts have also been fitted, along with a massive rear diffuser and a one-piece rear wing.
Only twenty units of Misha Designs’ Ferrari 488 GTB widebody kit will be produced, all sitting on Savini wheels with Toyo tires. Given the gorgeous design of the Ferrari 488, we think it best that not too many owners will be able to get their hands on this kit of questionable tact.
