The current Jeep Cherokee isn’t the prettiest thing on the planet, but we do have to say, it does have character. But, Jeep will usher in the 2019 Cherokee with a new face—one that is likely much more appealing to the masses.
As mentioned with previous sightings of the 2019 Cherokee, the face is much more traditional with a one-piece headlight design. These new spy shots show the front fascia almost uncloaked with the headlights sitting, again, in one piece in the front bumper, while small, round foglights move to the lower bumper. The grille also looks slightly less raked.
The rear end is also reworked with a more chiseled design and designers have moved the license plate mount up to the tailgate. It’s a minor difference, but it does create a very different looking character. The current Cherokee’s round rear end doesn’t do it many favors.
There isn’t a lot of camouflage on this prototype, which likely means a debut is coming sooner rather than later. We may even see it next month at the 2018 North American International Auto Show.
