This year was the first time that the Ringbrothers brought an AMC or Dodge vehicle to SEMA. The 1969 Dodge Charger ‘Defector’ took more than 4,700 hours to build, and took on a sleeker, more refined look, though it still meant the business with 6.4-liter Hemi V8 under the hood. On the other hand, the Hellcat-swapped 1972 AMC Javelin ‘Defiant!’ is a rambunctious restomod that demanded the attention of passers-by at the Las Vegas Convention Center last week.
The aggressive and burly looking front end is backed by the aforementioned Hellcat engine, and if that weren’t enough to grab your attention then the Jalop Gold finish ought to do it. With all of the crazy builds and skilled shops that attend SEMA, it gets harder and harder to stand out each year. Suffice to say Ringborthers has done so again the with this Javelin Hellcat.
