Fiat Chrysler’s head of passenger cars in North America, Tim Kuniskis, confirmed the three lost cars and said the truck caused the fire, not the 840-horsepower muscle cars. In fact, one of the destroyed cars was destined for Kuniskis himself. FCA will reportedly rebuild the three Dodge Demons lost to the flames quickly with new VINs.
As the report notes, FCA produced one of the cars on Friday the 13th this year. If there’s any sort of comic relief present in the story, it’s that fact.
Thankfully, no one was injured and the cars are absolutely replaceable. In total, FCA will produce just 3,000 Dodge Challenger Demons.
