We recently took a closer look at the Dodge Demon that SpeedKore Performance brought to SEMA 2017, which was comprised of a fully carbon fiber body. At the time we only knew that the carbon fiber Demon costs a pretty penny to replicate, which is at least $17,000 for all of the carbon fiber components off of SpeeKore’s website, and that doesn’t include doors. However, sources now say that these carbon fiber parts shed 600-lbs from the Dodge Demon, meaning the total weight of the car would be less than 4,000 pounds.
The Dodge Demon is already a monstrous car, and we’re sure this weight reduction makes it even more hellacious. There still aren’t any performance figures for the SpeedKore Demon, though it’s safe to say that the 2.3-second sprint to 60 and sub-10-second quarter-mile time are now even quicker.
We’ve reached out to SpeedKore for official performance data, but it seems the firm is keeping things hush-hush for the time being.
