Dan Mason, the owner, bought the Ram 1500 new and used it as a work truck, and when the time came to retire it, he decided to turn it into a race truck—not a bad idea at all if you ask us. Dan went ahead and made a few changes for his third trip to Holley LS Fest, including a new front-end setup with tubular suspension.
That General Motors V8 under the hood is a stroked 408-cubic inch motor, and it’s been fitted with two 76mm turbochargers form Turbonetics. Other goodies include cooling mods from 417 Motorsports and a Holley EFI (electronic fuel injection) system.
The time of the run shown in the video was about 12 seconds, though Dan says his best time was 10 seconds flat. Go ahead and hit play to see and hear this nicely built Ram 1500 race truck.
