Here’s a story that exhibits such profound stupidity that we can’t even think of a worthwhile analogy for it. Strap in folks, you’re in for a kicker.
As Deputy Jim Fish of the LaPort County Sheriff’s Office drove down the road in an unmarked police vehicle, a black Dodge Charger popped up in his rear view mirror before speeding past him and weaving through traffic. Turns out the driver, 40-year-old Eugene Thome, was looking to race the deputy, which we know because he admitted it to the police while in custody. This guy sounds more like a cooky criminal character from Brooklyn Nine Nine, but unfortunately this person is very real.
But wait, there’s more!
Thome made an attempt to evade the police, but was eventually apprehended when he ditched the Dodge Charger and attempted to flee on foot. After detaining the suspect, officers discovered that Thome had a felony warrant out for his arrest, and had a history of traffic violations.
