The Dodge Challenger Hellcat and Honda Civic Type R are two very different cars. One is a two-door, all-out muscle coupe with 707 horsepower, while the other is a streamlined, pocket rocket with 306 horsepower delivered from a tiny 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
So, what happens when the two line up for an eighth-mile drag race? It’s interesting. With not much pavement, the race is more about the launch than anything to see who can pull away first. The Civic Type R is lighter and has somewhat of an advantage with less mass to pull. But, the Challenger Hellcat makes gobs more power and can haul its hefty curb weight with more authority.
