We know the 2019 Ram 1500 will make its formal debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show, and we’ve already seen photos of the truck nearly uncovered. But, now, new spy shots also give away portions of the new truck’s interior and it’s packing a massive touchscreen display.
The 2019 Ram 1500 will boast a Tesla-esque touchscreen that runs from the top of the center stack nearly to the bottom of the structure. We see basic controls such as infotainment and HVAC are housed in the display as well, though it looks like physical buttons are present as well. It’s unclear what trim level will feature the touchscreen unit, but the peeled back camo shows more upscale trimmings inside.
Another photo also shows the key fob will control the truck’s height if air suspension is equipped. The key fob also shows an automatic tailgate opener as well.
If FCA pulls a move similar to the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, which it revealed overnight, we’ll likely see more of the 2019 Ram 1500 ahead of its debut in January.
