Hunting season is here, and with it comes a bunch of hyped-up deer on the run. If you live in areas with deer-crossing signs, then you probably know that there’s a higher risk of hitting a deer from late-September until mid-November. Most of these incidents result in a total loss, which is what we expect to happen in the case of this 2014 Dodge Charger R/T.
As you’ll see in the video, the driver of this Hugger Orange Dodge Charger is traveling along the roadway when a large buck darts across the road, right in front of the car. From what we can tell, the impact caused extensive damage, shattering the windshield and causing the air bags to deploy.
The owner of the Dodge Charger in question, Adam Nichol, posted the video to Reddit, and left a comment saying that he had already located an identical replacement should his insurance provider opt to deem the vehicle a total loss.
If you’ve never seen the results of a deer collision, then give this video a watch. You’d be surprised by how much damage they can cause.
