Today is Halloween. But more important to those in the automotive industry, it’s also the first day of the 2017 SEMA Show, and while kids across America are getting dressed up in their costumes to go trick-or-treating, scores of equally gussied-up vehicles have arrived at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the four-day exhibition. The SEMA Awards Breakfast is set to begin shortly, and we’ll soon find out the winners of this year’s Hottest Coupe, Hottest Sedan, Hottest Truck, Hottest 4×4/SUV and Hottest Hatch awards.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has vehicles in three out of the five categories, with the Dodge Charger as a contender for Hottest Sedan, the Ram Pickup for Hottest Truck, and the Jeep Wrangler for Hottest 4×4/SUV. The domestic warriors have some worthy competition in all three groupings, from the likes of the Cadillac CTS-V, Ford F-Series, and BMW X5, respectively.
The awards are rather straight forward: the production vehicle with the most votes in any given category wins. Only SEMA exhibiting manufacturers were invited to vote, and the polls have been closed since October 1st.
Do you think any of the FCA vehicles will come away with a win at this year’s SEMA show? Let us know in the comments below.
