The debate between whether or not it’s “wrong” to swap in a powertrain from a different make (i.e. swapping an LS V8 into an Mazda RX-7) will probably never be settled. That said, this Dodge Viper V10-swapped BMW E46 M3 should certainly add some fuel to the fire.
Let the record show that yours truly isn’t against the idea of swapping big engines into little cars, whether it be a Hellcat-swapped Toyota Prius or a Hemi-swapped Coronet. If it’s fast, then we want to drive it, and that holds true for this Dodge Viper M3 — if you can think of a better name, leave it in the comment section below.
Unfortunately the clip is only 30-seconds long, and we don’t get to see very much. Hopefully more footage hits the web in the near future, though it’s good to know that the custom build is able to move under its own power.
