Maserati North America is recalling some units of the 2015-2017 Maserati Quattroporte GTS over an issue with the low pressure fuel pump resistor that can cause the vehicle to stall or lose engine power.
The defect: a resistor in the low pressure fuel pump resistor may fail, causing a loss of engine power or a stall.
The hazards: a stall can increase the risk of a crash.
Affected vehicles: 2015-2017 Quattroporte GTS vehicles equipped with the 3.8L V-8 engine.
Number of vehicles affected: 439 (United States figure).
The fix: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump resistor cable assembly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 13th, 2017.
