The Leggenda E Passione sale hosted by RM Sotheby’s took place over the weekend, and during the auction the final LaFerrari Aperta to be built sold for a record-breaking $10,000,000 USD. No, your eyes don’t deceive you, that indeed says ten million U.S. dollars.
The previous record-holder was none other than the final Ferrari LaFerrari coupe, which was auctioned off for $7,000,000 USD. Like the coupe, all proceeds from the sale of the 210th LaFerrari Aperta will be donated to an undisclosed charity.
If you recall, the final LaFerrari Aperta was projected to be worth $3.5 to $4.7 USD, and it sold for twice the amount. Since the car has yet to be assembled, the buyer made the decision to purchase the car based off of a digital mockup of the Ferrari. The 210th LaFerrari Aperta will feature a unique livery, and is set to be unveiled during Ferrari’s 70th Anniversary celebrations at Maranello.
