Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles has announced a newly-created role has been filled. Mike Keegan will lead FCA communications in North America as the automakers Head of Communications.
The new role sees Keegan responsible for corporate and product communications across FCA. He will also work closely with regions and business sector communications teams. The last component of the position will have Keegan oversee the Company’s Investor Relations activities.
Keegan has been with FCA for more than 25 years and he most recently served as Head of Human Resources for the automaker in North America. His appointment will coincide with his current role as Coordinator of the Group Executive Council as well.
Unofficially, Keegan has also been floated as a potential successor to current FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne. Keegan has seen multiple facets of the automaker, and this new role only gives him additional perspective. The fact he leads the executive council also happens to help as well.
