It was the only sedan in the competition this year, and it proved to be a formidable contender. However, with strong competition from Porsche, Ferrari and even Chevrolet, the Alfa Romeo sedan fell short. Overall, it placed at the midway point in sixth place out of 12 competitors.
That’s not much of a knock considering the cars it beat include the C7 Corvette Grand Sport, Aston Martin DB11 and more. Judges found the steering and grip to be superb and almost supernatural at times. Many found it to be the best sport sedan driven in a long time. Judges were in agreement on one thing: the power. The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 found a lot of love and many said it never wanted to stop pulling. We’d have to concur.
However, Best Driver’s Car isn’t just for sedans, it faced more exotic coupes that, overall, performed better.
