For better or worse—depending on which camp you reside in—the 2019 Ram 1500 is sticking with traditional steel over aluminum construction.
Save for the hood and tailgate, the latest prototype caught testing was made up of good ‘ol steel after spy photographers placed a magnet on various portions of the 2019 Ram 1500 test mule—the magnet stuck. With this news, most of the investments surrounding the 2019 Ram 1500 will likely find their way to design, usability and possibly an innovate split tailgate system. Leaked images seem to show what the exterior design of the 2019 Ram 1500 will look like and portray an evolutionary look over the current truck—which isn’t a bad thing to us. Expect the interior to get a thorough once over as well.
The 2019 Ram 1500 will make its world debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show where it’s speculated the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado may also show face for the first time. Ford, in the meantime, has recently refreshed its best-selling F-150, which boasts best-in-class fuel economy and towing ratings.
