We likely won’t ever be able to purchase our very own 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon, but that won’t stop us—nor should it stop you—from living out a muscle car fantasy. Dodge has given us the means to do just that as the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon configurator has officially gone online.
As we’ve known, the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon will start at $86,090, which includes destination and a $1,700 gas guzzler tax. However, the chances of actually securing a Dodge Challenger Demon at that price are pretty slim. Dealerships have gotten around Dodge’s initiatives to curb markups by actually selling the rights to own one of the cars. The actual price of the car won’t go up, but the added profit comes from buying the right to own one.
Anyway, moving into the actual options, there are quite a few color hues to select from, though some do have late availability. Those include B5 Blue, Plum Crazy, F8 Green and Indigo Blue. If you really want to make an investment, grab an F8 Green Dodge Challenger Demon—we doubt many green Demons will be built. The most expensive exterior color is Redline Tri-Coat Red, however, and commands an extra $595. A full graphics package adds $3,495 as an additional exterior option.
As promised, Dodge will include the passenger and rear seats in the car for just $1 each and they can be finished in leather for $1,595 extra. Otherwise, cloth is present. Two packages can bump the final price as well: a Comfort Audio Group with cloth seats, and Comfort Audio group with leather seats. They are $995 and $2,495, respectively. The packages add ventilated and heated seats, an 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, power-adjustable steering wheel and more. Red seatbelts can be had for another $195 as well.
Dodge will also build a Challenger Demon with a sunroof, but it appears it’d rather not; the option costs a whopping $4,995 extra. Go ahead and tinker around with the configurator at the link here.
