Jeep and Chrysler came out on top for the seventh consecutive year following AutoPacific’s Ideal Vehicle Awards. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica both walked away with best-in-class awards.
Specifically, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was named best-in-class in the mid-size SUV segment, and the Chrysler Pacifica was named best-in-class in the minivan segment. The awards are presented based on surveyed owners—Jeep and Chrysler owners responded that their Grand Cherokees and Pacificas exceeded their expectations. 65,000 owners were surveyed after 90 days of ownership on their 2016 and 2017 new vehicles.
The Chrysler Pacifica has gone on to become the most-awarded minivan of 2016 and 2017 and boasts the segment’s first plug-in hybrid minivan.
As for the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the SUV it continues to soldier on as one of the industry’s best-selling nameplates with premium amenities and off-road capability.
