Dodge was late to the muscle car game with the Charger and Challenger, but the two nameplates would go down as some of the best and baddest of the era. Flash forward to present day, and both cars are alive and producing more horsepower than one knows what to do with.
But, this build has caught our attention. It’s a 1969 Dodge Charger that’s been married to a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. And we quite like it. No, actually, we love it.
Cleveland Power and Performance is responsible for the hellish 1969 Dodge Charger build and has gone through painstaking measures to ensure the project is done properly. This isn’t a simple engine swap; the performance shop has actually placed the 1969 Dodge Charger’s body on a shaved 2016 Hellcat frame. The results are what you see here.
The build is still underway, but you can follow Cleveland Power and Performance and the 1969 Dodge Charger Hellcat’s journey at this extensive build thread. In the meantime, check out the car in the video above.
