There are a few topics of discussion on this episode of The Fast Lane Truck, which is more or less split into two halves.
The first half features Roman Mica and guest Anton Wahlman, an automotive industry analyst, as they discuss the 2019 Ram 1500 and its place in the future of the brand. Wahlman offers up good talking points, from the new operations at the Sterling Heights Assembly plant to the correlation between new-home building and pickup truck sales. He also speculates that Ram will unveil the 2019 Ram 1500 at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
The other half of this episode is all about the 2018 Ram Tungsten edition which recently went on sale. This is the pinnacle of luxury when it comes to Ram pickups, and the video gives you an inside look at the high-quality interior enhancements as well as the cosmetic upgrades to the exterior.
The more seductive talking point, however, remains to be the 2019 Ram 1500. The truck is expected to be all-new, with a design that will firmly leave the crosshair grille design in the past. As for what to expect under the hood of the next-generation truck, it will likely be much of the same formula: V6, Hemi V8 and EcoDiesel. What the body of the 2019 Ram 1500 will be made out of, however, remains to be seen.
The video cuts back and forth, not very smoothly, but if you sit through it, you may learn something.
