Truth be told, when it comes to simple bolt-on modifications, such as this Flowmaster Delta Force air intake, there aren’t substantial gains to be had. Flowmaster claims that this intake can boost the supercharged 6.2L V8 power output of the Hellcat engine by up to 4 percent, which probably isn’t very noticeable on the road.
Typically one buys such a mod because they want to hear cool noises from the engine bay, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. In the case of the Dodge SRT Hellcat Challenger and Charger, that sound would be the menacing whine of a supercharger.
A couple of things to consider are pricing and fitment. With a price tag of $298.97 (shipping included), the Delta Force air intake is relatively cheap compared to similar products. One that comes to mind is the popular Bwoody 5-inch intake, which retails for just under 400 bucks.
When it comes to installation guides, though, Flowmaster clearly has the upper-hand. If you’re thinking about doing this modification to your Hellcat, click play to watch the video as you ponder.
