The all-new, 2018 Dodge Durango SRT will come with a starting Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of $64,090, Fiat Chrysler has announced. That’s including a $1,095 destination fee.
For that money, you’re getting the “fastest, most powerful and most capable” three-row SUV available, FCA boasts. The Durango SRT is powered by a 475-horsepower Hemi V8 with 6.4 liters of displacement, which generates enough thrust to propel the full-size utility vehicle through the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds. All-wheel-drive helps the hefty SUV launch to 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.4 seconds – about as quick as the Dodge Charger SRT 392, despite the extra mass.
What’s more, the Dodge Durango SRT delivers a best-in-class towing capacity of 8,700 pounds – not bad for a unibody – and includes a free one-day session at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix, Arizona.
“The new 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is America’s fastest, most powerful and most capable three-row SUV,” says Dodge/SRT Head Tim Kuniskis. “This is what you get, when you take everything great about the Durango and combine it with the performance of the Charger SRT: a 12-second quarter mile, 8,700-pound-toy hauling, three-row muscle car.”
Some standard features of the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT include the aforementioned 6.4-liter (392-cubic-inch) Hemi V8 (475 HP/470 lb-ft), TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, high-performance Brembo brakes (6-piston front / 4-piston rear), active-damping Bilstein suspension, and 20″ by 10″ Goliath wheels finished in a low-gloss black, wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Verde all-season tires (295/45ZR20).
The all-new Dodge Durango SRT will start reaching showrooms in Q4, 2017.
