The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a 707-horsepower beast. It’s ability to run a 3.5-second 0-60 sprint makes it quicker than a list of notable sports cars and supercars. Even so, it’s a whole second slower in the quarter-mile than the Jeep Grand Cherokee you see in this video.
No, it’s not a Trackhawk – it’s a “Hellhawk.” At least that’s what it creators are calling it, as it has a Hellcat 6.2-liter V8 sitting under the hood.
At Maple Grove Raceway in Pennsylvania, this freakishly fast Jeep Grand Cherokee blazed the strip in 10.8 seconds at 128 miles per hour. For the sake of comparison, Motor Trend galloped across the finish line in 11.2 sec at 123.4 mph with the 2017 Nissan GTR.
We wonder how the Hellhawk would fair against that crazy Hellcat-swapped ‘PriuSRT8’ we recently saw. We don’t think the AWD system would compensate for all that extra weight, especially when it’s up against a gutted Prius with slicks.
