If you’ve ever wondered how simple it would be to install the Flowmaster Delta Force cold air intake on the 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine of your 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler, this video should clear things up.
At the start of the clip, the host gives a quick overview of the intake itself (part no. 615142) and everything that’s included with purchase. The washable, reusable filter comes pre-oiled, the heat-shield comes powder-coated black, the more durable, poly intake tubing has a black finish and bears the Flowmaster logo, and also included are the stainless steel clamps and reinforced silicon couplers.
The video then goes over the tools needed to complete the job, and shows each step in real time. Note that the video in its entirety is just over ten minutes, and that includes a quick look at the dyno graph displaying the claimed gains for the Jeep Wrangler 3.8L engine.
After taking a gander at Flowmaster’s website, it’s our understanding that this intake system is not yet available, but should go on sale next month. However, if you own a 2012-2017 Jeep Wrangler with the 3.6-liter engine, this system is currently available for $298.97 and qualifies for free shipping.
