The 2018 Challenger Hellcat Widebody adds the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon’s wide body kit and also introduced a few improvements unseen to the eye. But, it’s about the design today, so we’re here to ask if the Challenger Hellcat Widebody is hot or not.
At first glace, it’s very, very hot. The Challenger has always been a menacing thing, and the 3.5 inches of extra body do good things to an already beefy car. The Challenger knows what it is, and it’s OK with it.
The wider body fits larger tires and new “Demon Spoke” wheels as standard equipment, too. When all is said and done, the Challenger Hellcat Widebody’s quarter-mile times improve by 0.3 seconds and are estimated at 10.9 seconds; lateral skid pad grip rises to .97 g from .93 g and 0-60 mph comes 0.1 seconds quicker in 3.4 seconds. The big body doesn’t just look good, it helps make the car even quicker and grippier.
