Fiat Chrysler Canada recorded its highest monthly sales in the company’s 92-year history in May 2017 with 33,186 vehicles sold.
Leading the sales charge for FCA’s brands was the Ram pickup and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs. Both models posted record all-time monthly sales figures, with 14,990 Ram trucks sold and 2,421 Grand Cherokees sold.
The results represent a 5 percent increase in sales for FCA as a whole year over year, with the automaker moving 31,705 units in May 2016. FCA Canada’s fleet sales were also up a considerable amount, with 12,994 units (11 percent more than last year).
Other models that contributed to the strong sales results were the Jeep Wrangler and Cherokee (1,412 and 1,179 units sold, respectively), the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger (1,150 and 1,561 respective units), and the Dodge Caravan (5,189 units).
