Fiat Chrysler has recalled all Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid models for a problem related to the vehicle’s 16 kWh lithium ion battery pack.
According to Roadshow, the diodes for a control module for the Pacifica’s Hybrid batteries are faulty and may cause a sudden loss of propulsion. The Pacifica Hybrid only just went on sale, however, so only 1,368 vehicles in the US and 309 in Canada have been affected.
FCA hasn’t outlined a fix for the problem, however the automaker will reportedly contact owners to let them know of the recall. They then can schedule an appointment with the dealership for the fix to be completed.
There are so far no reports of injuries related to the problem. We’ll update you on the matter when more information is available.
