Alfa Romeo announced today it has become a global partner of the PGA Presidents Cup, joining luxury watchmaker Rolex and Citi as headline sponsors.
As a sponsor of the upcoming tournament, Alfa Romeo will gain exposure through PGA tour media and marketing, coverage of the tournament on Golf Channel and NBC and onsite branding and hospitality. Alfa will also have a display at the Presidents Cup Fan Experience, which is located at the Oculus transportation and retail hub within the World Trade Center in New York City.
“Precision and the ability to adapt to any situation, whether on the Nürburgring or on the grounds of Liberty National golf course, are elements for driving to success, shared by both Alfa Romeo and members of the PGA TOUR,” said Alfa Romeo boss Reid Bigland. “Our partnership with the PGA TOUR and the Presidents Cup fittingly aligns the brand with the world’s best golfers, whose desire to compete furthers passion for both the game and Alfa Romeo.”
The Presidents Cup will be held at the Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey from September 26th to October 1st. The tournament, which occurs every two years, was last held at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Songdo IBD, Incheon City, Korea in 2015. For the first time, the captains will be joined by four assistants, with Price assisted by Ernie Els, Tony Johnstone, Geoff Ogilvy and Mike Weir and Stricker assisted by Jim Furyk, Davis Love III and Tiger Woods.
