Among this year’s Jeep concepts for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari was the aptly named Jeep Safari – which we believe hints heavily at what to expect from the next-generation Jeep Wrangler JL. Those of us who didn’t have a chance to attend Moab have only seen the Safari concept in photos, so Fred Williams of Dirt Everyday decided to give us a better look at the SUV on the Motor Trend YouTube channel.
Williams explains how the Jeep Safari was designed for the consumer who wants to go off-roading, but maybe wants to take their family along for the ride. As such, the concept is based on the four-door Wrangler Unlimited and features clear plexiglass doors for maximum visibility whether you’re sitting out front or in the back.
Some of the features on the Safari that may appear on the Wrangler JL or another Jeep of the future include the billet roof rack, rounded off fenders, softer-looking bumpers and billet roof rack. We’ll have to wait until the debut of the vehicle later this year to know for sure, but in the meantime, hear what Williams has to say about the concept in the video embedded above.
