Last year German tuning company Novitech debuted its tuning program for the Ferrari 488 and 488 Spider, which consisted of a lip kit, a rear spoiler and an ECU upgrade for the twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Novitech has since gone back to the drawing board with the 488 and introduced a more extreme tuning program for the supercar which it refers to as the N-Largo.
The most striking feature of the 488 Spider N-Largo is its widebody kit. The kit adds 5.5-inches in width to the front and rear of the car, which helps to house the huge 335mm wide forged alloy wheels and tires. A new front splitter and larger lower rear diffuser help to better manage airflow and reduce lift at speed and also contribute to the overall look of the car.
The N-Largo has the appropriate performance upgrades to go along with its aftermarket look. Two separate engine control units modify parameters such as the boost pressure, injection and ignition to bosot output by 102 horsepower and 97 lb-ft for a grand total total of 772 horsepower and 658 lb-ft of torque. A new high-performance exhaust system also contributes to the added performance and improves the exhaust note.
The Ferrari 488 Spider N-Largo will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 213 mph, according to Novitech. The upgrades pictured here can be ordered separately and if a customer only wants the ECU upgrades, that’s also possible. But might we suggest you wait for the limited-edition Ferrari 488 GTO instead?
