German tuning company Novitech has debuted perhaps the most extreme tuned take on the Maserati Levante to date – the widebody Levante ‘Esteso’.
The Lavante Esteso’s widebody kit consists of front and rear fender flares, which add ten centimeters tin width at the front and twelve centimeters at the rear, front and rear lip kits, skid skirts, an optional naked carbon fiber hood scoop and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. Novitech says the front lip, rear diffuser and spoiler have been developed in the wind tunnel and helped reduce front end lift at speed.
Further contributing to the SEMA-show esque look are 22-inch Novtech Esteso alloy wheels, which are available in matt black or gloss black. The crossover’s low stance is provided by Novitech’s own control module, which leverages the Levante’s standard air suspension to lower its height by just under an inch. Novitech says the module also contributes to the Levante’s handling due to the lowered center of gravity.
The Levante’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 has also been fiddled with. The motor, which produces 424 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque, is boosted via Novitech’s ‘NTRONIC’ engine control module. The tuning company says the module boosts output by 64 horsepower and 59 lb-ft for a total output of 494 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. The company also offers a tuning module for 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, which boosts it to 322 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque.
The tuning company will also make changes to the interior of the crossover if the customer desires, offering Novitech-branded leather and alcantara reupholstered seating available in “an endless variety of colors and designs.”
