This probably won’t come as a surprise to you, but the founder of the painfully stylish automotive site Petrolicious, Afshin Behnia, is a huge Alfa Romeo fan. He says he was originally into more “obvious” cars such as Ferraris, Porsches and BMWs, but eventually discovered Alfa when he purchased a 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider in his early 20s.
Behnia quickly became obsessed with the Alfa brand and was eventually able to purchase his dream Alfa – a white 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale. He purchased the car sight unseen and the seller unfortunately lied to him about the condition of the motor, forcing him to build it, but apart from that, Behnia says his Giulia SS has been virtually flawless.
Today Behnia owners over a dozen Alfas. He says he has an “Alfa problem,” but in our opinion, that’s just about the best problem you can have. If you ever need someone to alleviate you of one of your Italian “problems”, Afshin, we’re sure some of our readers would be happy to oblige you.
