German automakers will sometimes put an electronic speed limiter on their high performance cars to prevent buyers from trying to top the car out on public streets. So whereas your standard BMW M3 is limited to 155 mph, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio will climb freely all the way to 191 mph. This is also probably representative of the characteristics of Germans and Italians, but we digress.
The YouTube channel ‘Cars on Autobahn’ (can you guess what they post videos of?) recently posted a video of a Giulia Quadrifoglio hitting 176 mph on the Autobahn. It’s not the vehicle’s aforementioned 191 mph top end, but it’s pretty darn close. Sharp-eyed watchers may also notice this is the six-speed manual Giulia Quadrifoglio that we don’t get here in North America. Forbidden fruit indeed.
This is probably the fastest you’ll see a Giulia Quadrifoglio go, or at least on public roads, so be sure to check out the video embedded above.
