Fiat Chrysler is about to have quite a week. Two of its most highly anticipated future models, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk, are set to debut just before the New York International Auto Show on April 11th, and you’ll be able to live stream the reveals right here.
The Challenger Demon, which will be based on the 707 horsepower Hellcat, will debut during a special event to which a select number of lucky Mopar fans have been invited. The Demon will have several drag racing oriented features such as factory Nitto drag radial tires, a two-step rev limiter for boost building and a liquid-to-air charge cooling system that runs off of the vehicle’s A/C unit. It’s not clear how much power it will produce, but teaser videos have indicated it will make at least 750 horsepower.
The Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk will pack the same supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 as the Hellcat and Demon producing a so far undisclosed amount of power. Speculation indicates the Trackhawk’s engine will make less than the 707 horsepower the Hellcat’s does in order to preserve the all-wheel drive system’s components, but it’s too early to say at this point. Let’s wait and see what next week brings.
