Fiat Chrysler’s annual Drive for Design contest calls on high school students in the U.S. in grades 10-12 to design a Dodge vehicle from 30 years in the future and submit their sketch to have it judged by a panel of experts. This year marks the fifth consecutive year the automaker has held the educational contest – but the deadline to submit your design is quickly approaching.
The winner of this year’s Drive for Design contest will receive a $50,000 scholarship to Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, a free two-week summer design course at Lawrence Tech, three passes to the EyesOnDesign black tie event, three passes to the Eyes on Design exhibition and an Apple MacBook Pro. Second and third places will receive the same prizes, minus the $50,00 scholarship. They will also get an Apple iPad and iPencil instead of a MacBook Pro.
“The deadline for this contest is approaching quickly and we are extremely excited to see what the students will sketch and submit this year,” said head of design at FCA North America, Mark Trostle. “Our partnerships with both Lawrence Technological University and EyesOn Design have elevated our anticipation even more as this is a wonderful opportunity to open doors, educate, inform and inspire young students with natural artistic talent.”
Students can submit their design at this link. The deadline is Friday, April 28th, 2017.
