There’s countless videos on the web of sporty vehicles crashing as they leave car shows or a local Cars and Coffee event – but it’s usually a Mustang driver that’s running out of talent and mowing down pedestrians. This time we’ve got footage of a Dodge Viper nearly wiping out a crowd as it leaves Cars and Coffee in Knoxville and fortunately, the only true victim of the Viper driver’s lack of a skill was a nearby tree.
The stage for this video is as classic as can be. Car enthusiasts lined up along a grass boulevard-split road with their cell phones out and sportscars accelerating for the onlookers as they leave the event. Our ill-fated Viper driver pulls put innocently enough but then gets on the gas pretty hard before overcorrecting the wheel and flying up onto the grass median and into some landscaping.
The car looks totaled in this case, as we’re sure there was some frame damage. We’re hoping its salvageable, but we have serious doubts. Check out the wreck in the video below and click here for pictures of the aftermath.
