The Alfa Romeo Stelvio crossover has received two new versions of the 2.0-liter gasoline and 2.2-liter diesel engines that launched with the car in EMEA markets earlier this year.
The new 2.0-liter gas engine is a more efficient, 200 horsepower version of the 280 horsepower 2.0-liter already available in the Stelvio. It’s offered with the same eight-speed automatic transmission available in all versions of the Stelvio and is paired with the automaker’s Q4 all-wheel drive system. With this engine 0-60 mph happens in 7.2 seconds and top speed sits at 133 mph.
The new 2.2-liter diesel is a less powerful, 180 horsepower version of the 210 horsepower 2.2-liter oil burner. The 180 horsepower mill is mated to the eight-speed automatic transmission and send power to the rear wheels only. That’s right – this is the only Stelvio available without Q4 all-wheel drive. The 0-60 mph sprint takes 7.6 seconds and the top speed is 130 mph.
With the arrival of these two new engines, Alfa has also added some new interior content to the Stelvio range. A chocolate interior upholstery colour is now available, along with a sports interior package that adds aluminum dash inserts, black seat piping, a leather steering wheel and heated sports seats with 6-way power side bolsters and driver memory.
The Stelvio with its new 2.0-liter and 2.2-liter engines and new interior content is now available to order from Alfa Romeo dealers in select EMEA regions.
