A photo reportedly showing the 2018 Dodge Demon has leaked online ahead of the drag strip dominating muscle car’s official debut tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
It’s not clear if this photo is the real deal or not, but it sure has all Demon hallmarks. Wide fender flares? Check. A massive Air Grabber hood scoop? Check. Lightweight 18-inch wheels? Check. Demon badges? Check. It’s all here, and if we’re honest, it’s all pretty unsurprising after a solid 2 months’ worth of teasers.
Perhaps more interesting than this photo are rumors that have surfaced along with it. As reported by Jalopnik, some outlets are saying the Demon will come with modes offering differing levels of power from the supercharged 6.2-liter V8. The first mode will apparently make 757 horsepower and the second 815, but the third, which requires the purchase of the $3,000 performance crate and the installation race gas ECU, will make 1,023 horsepower. It’s hard to say if that’s true or not, but if its, the Demon is certifiably bonkers. Well done, Dodge.
We’ll have all the details on the 2018 Dodge Demon tomorrow following its debut, which you can live stream at this link. The day’s almost here, Mopar fans.
